Young Woman Commits Suicide in Jaipur Hotel
A young woman from Delhi tragically took her own life at a hotel located on VT Road in Mansarovar. The police conducted a post-mortem at Kanwatia Hospital and subsequently handed over the body to her family. No suicide note was discovered in the room, prompting authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
Details of the Victim
The deceased, identified as Sana, 25, was a resident of Rajiv Nagar in Karawal Nagar, Delhi. She arrived in Jaipur on November 21 and was staying at the hotel on VT Road. On November 25, a friend named Idris visited her to deliver food. However, when Idris returned the following day, Sana did not answer the door.
Friend’s Concerns Leads to Police Involvement
According to police reports, both Sana and Idris had shared the cost of the hotel room. On the night of November 25, Idris arrived at the hotel around 11:15 PM to see her. After knocking on the door and receiving no response, he assumed she was asleep and left, informing the hotel management that he would return the next morning.
Police Break Down Door to Investigate
On November 26, when Sana had not emerged from her room by 11 AM, hotel staff contacted Idris. They attempted to call out to her and tried reaching her by phone, but there was no reply. Consequently, the hotel management alerted the police. Upon arrival, officers forced open the door and discovered Sana hanging by a scarf.
Family Issues Under Investigation
The forensic team collected necessary evidence from the room. The police then transported the body to Jaipur Hospital for an autopsy. After the family arrived in Jaipur on Saturday afternoon, the post-mortem was completed, and the body was returned to them. Authorities confirmed that no suicide note was found, and the reasons behind the suicide remain unclear. Investigations are ongoing, with police questioning friends and acquaintances.
