Assam's Chief Minister Expresses Worries

When questioned about the recent arrests of jihadist elements in Assam, Sarma acknowledged that such groups have been active in the state for at least the past decade. He noted that Assam has witnessed jihadist activities over the last ten years, and security remains a significant concern. Sarma expressed confidence that some sleeper cells are still operational in Assam, warning that the state's security will continue to be a matter of concern until there is a substantial improvement in the geopolitical situation.
