Bulldozer at SP MP Ziaurrahman Burke’s house, court gave 30 days instructions

The administration has taken major action on the Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ziaurrahman Burke for building a house without passing a map in Deepa Sarai area. Deputy Collector (SDM) Vikas Chandra has imposed a fine of ₹ 1,35,000 on the MP and has ordered the removal of the illegal part of his house within 30 days.

What is the whole matter?
MP Burke was accused that he got the house constructed at Deepa Sarai without passing the map. The administration issued the first notice on 5 December 2024 regarding this. After several hearings in the case, the date for pronounced the verdict was fixed on 28 July 2025. SDM finally ruled on 11 August 2025.

Fines and mitigation fees
According to the information received, a fine of ₹ 1,35,000 was imposed on MP Burke. Along with this, the revised map introduced by the MP was accepted and he also deposited a mitigation fee of ₹ 5,707. Nevertheless, a portion of the house was declared 1 meter long and 14 meters wide illegal.

Order to remove illegal part in 30 days
SDM has given clear instructions that this illegal part will have to be removed within 30 days. If this part is not removed in the scheduled time, the administration itself will take action and demolish the construction. Apart from this, the MP has also been instructed to deposit the amount of fine at the earliest.
Administrative stance hard
This case is not just about a common construction, but to an MP, which has brought more discussion. The administration has made it clear that the law applies equally to all, irrespective of the person.
