The Modi cabinet has approved Phase-1 B of Lucknow Metro, so that old Lucknow will also get the benefit of metro service. The expansion of this expansion will prepared a new 11 km route, which will include 12 stations.
The new line will connect the historic and densely populated areas of Lucknow, which will cover major places like Aminabad, Chowk, Jeiaganj, Pandeyganj, KGMU, Imambara, and Rumi Gate.
Lucknow MP and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this decision and described it as a big gift for the people of Lucknow. This project is expected to reduce traffic problems in Old Lucknow and improve connectivity.
