Encounter with terrorists in Kulgam continues on 11th day, terrorists are hidden in caves amidst dense forests

A campaign of security forces is going on to kill the terrorists on the 11th day on Monday in the forest of Akhhal in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces are tightening the siege so that the terrorists cannot run away from the spot by firing dense forests and strong. Officials said it is one of the longest anti-terrorism campaigns in the valley.

So far, two army personnel sacrifice and 9 soldiers have been injured in this campaign. While two terrorists were killed at the beginning of the campaign.

Officials said that 8 terrorists are hiding at three places in this wild area who are avoiding firing during the day but are doing fast shells to run away at night. This forest of Akhhal is very rich where there are many natural caves in which these terrorists are hiding.

Security forces are using drones and helicopters to locate terrorists in the forest area. Para commandos are also helping security forces in killing hidden terrorists.

Two militants have been killed so far in an encounter that started after the siege and search operation was started after the presence of terrorists by security forces in a forest in Akhhal in South Kashmir district on 1 August. The identity of the slain terrorists and their group is yet to be ascertained.

Security forces have laid siege to the area and the encounter with terrorists hiding in dense forests continues. Officials said that senior police and army officials, including Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Nalin Prabhat and Army Northern Commander Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, are keeping a close watch on the clock campaign round the clock.
