Concerns Over Human Resilience
Jaipur. Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, expressed concerns regarding the rapid development occurring globally, noting that human immunity is deteriorating. He pointed out that individuals who once adapted to environmental changes are now increasingly fragile.
Resource Disparity
He highlighted that a mere 4% of the world’s population consumes 80% of its resources, leaving 96% deprived. As development progresses, the gap between the wealthy and the poor continues to widen. Despite discussions on growth and advancement, a significant portion of the population still lacks basic necessities.
Insights from the Dindayal Smriti Lecture
Speaking at the Dindayal Smriti Lecture held at the indoor complex of Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Bhagwat emphasized that while comfort and resources have increased, human life remains neither peaceful nor secure. The divide between developed and developing nations is growing, and environmental degradation is reaching alarming levels.
India’s Philosophical Strength
Integral Human Philosophy: A Timeless Relevance
Bhagwat noted that the Integral Human Philosophy, although it has been around for 60 years, remains highly relevant today. The questions the world seeks answers to can be found within India’s philosophical framework.
