Fatal Bear Encounter in Bharmour

A devastating event unfolded in the tribal area of Bharmour on Friday when a woman lost her life due to a bear attack. The deceased, identified as Satya Devi, was the wife of Megha Ram from Khani village. She had ventured into the Dug-Banad forest around 12:30 PM to tend to her cattle when the bear suddenly attacked her. Despite her desperate cries for help, the assault was so brutal that she died at the scene. This tragic incident has left the local community in mourning.
Navnath Mane, the Forest Division Officer for Bharmour, confirmed that a team from the department was dispatched to the location immediately after the incident was reported. He assured that the family of the victim would receive all necessary support.
Additionally, ADM Bharmour Kulveer Singh Rana mentioned that he had not yet received formal details regarding the incident but stressed that the administration would provide every possible assistance to the grieving family.
